what we call LIFE

My boyfriend's birthday celebration just doesn't end with one party . On his birthday itself, both of us had our own celebration @ the Westin Hotel=) That's bcoz a month earlier he'd applied for the Starwood Priviledge Card , which comes with a complimentary stay voucher in any Starwood Hotels, hehe* Tho the card was slightly priced on the steeper side i must say that it actually provides pretty good benefits and priviledges including discounts for restaurants and room rates. Ask me for more info if you're interested in applying the card=p Our 24 hr stay at Westin was brilliant...much better than Marriott, which i liked to stay for a night or two when i had the YTL card..Yes, i do enjoy staying at nice hotels (when i have the $$ and the occasion to do so..) u ppl will understand once you've experience the total indulgence of it=')

(lunch @ Prego)

Upon arrival we had our 2-course lunch at Prego , the food wasn't bad but not too fantastic either. Thumbs up for their services tho. I wish every restaurant offers the same service as they do but bahss..anyway, we checked into our room after lunch and for the first time I got to finally experienced the comfort of their signature Heavenly Bed.. IT was sooooo soft and comfy that anyone could fall asleep on it right away! the price of the bed was 10 k fyi, and my boyfriend said it was considered cheap (?) We wanted to take a dip in their swimming pool but unfortunately it rained the whole afternoon. Stupid Weather. I hate rainy days now *gRaRrr* ( our room & the Heavenly Bed)
( one of my gifts to him=) )

Since we had nothing much to do after loitering for bout 2 hrs in the room and opening his presents given by non-other than = ME , we decided to go for tea time at TREATS cafe in the hotel itself. Everything in Westin is HEAVENLY..! Even the cakes and pastries in the cafe looked awesome and mouth-watering.. I reallie reallie wanted to try all of 'em but both our stomach just couldn't fit all=p We had berry trifle & chocolate doughnut, similar to the BIg Apple's choreo doughnut..and OMG ,it tasted 100x better than Big Apple's.. drools* We even get discounts on the total bill.. the perks of having that card, muahaha*
( selections at Treats :P )

We were so darn full that we had to postponed our dinner supposingly at 7pm to 8 pm at Qba Latin Grill & Bar. If u were to dine in Westin, make sure u choose Qba coz #1 the food's delicious ,#2 it's a place to impress ur girlfren/boyfren #3 ambience's spectacular and #4 staffs there are very professional and attentive..u'll love the attention given to u..Obviously, the price isn't friendly, u pay for what u get..A price of a simple steak with no side dishes or etc starts from RM105+ (yikes!) We were seated at the private dining area overlooking the open kitchen.. Would like to sit by the balcony to enjoy the live band downstairs the next time we visit tho.. i forgot to bring along a camera ..which means all the pics were taken using our camera phones=)
( Qba's interior..)
( his rib eye steak )

By the time our dinner ended it was alredi near 11pm and all the shopping malls were closed and we were left with nowhere to go. There wasn't even space in our stomachs to go for yumcha at that time so we ended up walking around the golden triangle and headed back up to our heavenly room=p I had by far, the best sleep ever in monthss and the very next day i was so unwilling to get up from the bed to check out..yes, it was THAT comfy! We ended our stay with a buffet lunch @ the Living Room before our check out. How nice if only life continues to be this way..

Happy Birthday to you again!! =))

  • I was too tired to 'layan' em further as i was getting a bit tipsy too=p I went to my room and doze off while they were still outside having their own sweet time drinking and chit chatting.. the next thing i know, the sun was up and i could still hear their laughters. They only left the place at 7 plus in the morning.. *salute*

culture shock (?)

Gun (or Gan? oopz) celebrated his 22nd birthday at Crown Regency last Friday. As usual ,to them no party is complete without alcohols ! t was a 3 rooms apartment just big enough to cater for more than 20 of us.Met a few of them who used to hang out nearby my place..I was a lil shocked . It turned out that all of us know the same group of friends- just that we each didnt know about it.. How interesting.. It was the usual gathering cept that it didnt take place in the club . No dancing but most of them were busy downing their fav drinks and challenging each other (Ti Pui and Yap) to c who's the best drinker, Lols..Ti Pui emerged as the Winner of the battle and Yap was D.R.U.N.K so he had to overnight at the hotel that night:P

>> just lotion, dudes!:p <<

>> Left : the Winner .. Right: Gone Case <<

Wondering what was our gift to the birthday boy?A stripper! No kiddin..I was stunned to hear bout the idea at first but eventually i found it interesting. Afterall what's wrong with having once in a lifetime exposure right...hehehhe .We blindfolded the birthday boy who had no idea about what was goin on then while waiting anxiously for the stripper to be ready. We were practically sitting in a circle around Gun who was sitting on a dining chair at the center just to get a better view of the show..ehhe The stripper finally came out and strut her 'thing' ..It was a culture shock for me and Sharon but all of us couldnt stop laughing at the birthday boy's expression.=D Half way thru the ladies were told to go into the room as we were not allowed to watch the second half of the show coz Gun was feelin' shy, haha.. The whole stripper thingy lasted bout half an hour. Some of the guys said it was only worth half the money paid coz she wasn't pretty at all and she didn't know how to make the 'show' interesting...Lolzz Anyhow, it was a funny experience for me & most of them :)
>> the guys...while waiting.. <<

>> Gun : " Ei, no drugs ar! No drugs!" <<

Happy Birthday Gun!!=)

walk-a-thon

I've been busy shopping for my upcoming college ball for the past one week ..didn't know it was such a tough task, pfft* I seem like a tourist in KL hopping from one mall to another for one whole bloody day. Madness and utterly tiring ! Last monday we were in KL hoping to find for a nice decent dress since the golden triangle's the ultimate shopping spots for KL-ians.We walked from Sg Wang, then to Lot10, KL plaza, BB plaza and to Pavillion but yet couldnt even manage to find a single lookable dress! Pavillion seems to be a very nice place to shop tho, if only it's not that far from PJ=( Geramm* It was like walking the whole entire kl but u came back empty handed. Not satisfied, we headed over to Midvalley and The Gardens for dinner and shop again..This time i finally took off my heels and changed to my comfy flats=) My feet were killing me after one whole day of walking on heels! smart enough for me to leave a pair of slippers in the car *grins* Sad to say the trip was not fruitful at all..i should've known since KL has practically all the shops in Midv/Gardens..maybe even more.. God knows how many thousands of miles i'd walked dat day..

Finally i decided to tailor make a dress, i tot i could save my time as well as the hassle of walking again but reality doesn't turn out to be that way..Thanks jw anyway for helping me to search for all the tailors in PJ =) After a few rounds of tailor hopping on tue and finally set for the suitable one , i was all set to get the material needed for the design i wanted. I needed some kind of rubber cloth similar to satin for the dress i wanted to make but the shops in ss2 do not sell that type of material.arghhh* Geram case # 2. In the end i had to make a move to petaling st in KL- a place where i never thought myself would be, not even passing by.. There i was paying a visit to all the textile shops to enquire bout the material but to no avail. I thought tailor making was easy but hell no! Just imagine how many places i've went in these two days.I think i've walked the entire KL, seriously! this is Crazy. Not wanting to go on like this, I decided to change my design and go for a simpler one like this :
The very next day i went back to the same tailor thinking it was easier to get satin rather than the elastic fabric. Apparently this design was way harder to do than the first. Geram case #3 . I seriously thought it was simpler..haha .. I went for another round of tailor hopping and a few of them actually turned down the job cos they couldnt do it. How complicated that can be...sigh* One tailor even told me to rent from the bridal shops nearby..what the hell.. I wasn't willing to change the design cuz i started to like it so much..Thank god we managed to find a tailor somewhere in Kelana who was willing to make it for me. At first she didn't wan to coz of time constraint but after much pleadings and persuasion she finally gave in =) We were SOOOo relieved after settling bout my dress..the past week was by far the worst shopping trips ever in my entire life.. Unbelievably tough. I actually fell sick after running the errands .. This is not cool...

.

simple life

I went for a day's trip to Kluang (for the noobies, it's in Johor:P) last week with Jw , just to get an insight of how his hometown looks like and to visit his parents. The journey to Kluang is approx 3 hours from KL , which is quite the same distance as from here to Penang.. Ppl in Kluang lead a pretty simple life. They work, go for lunch, yumcha, off work , go home and watch tv. That's exactly what they do everyday. Friday nights don't seem to be appealing to them. U don't see any shops opening at the wee hours of late night except for one or two mamak stalls, no discos/pubs/clubs/bars or whatsoever nightlife, no big shopping complex (cuz there are no market there..) , no massive HongKong food outlets eg Kimgary & etc and only 5% of the population in Kluang smokes =p Healthy-nye...

I looked silly in his sunnies ..

..starting off the journey ..

We didnt reallie do anything interesting there ('coz reallie, there weren't much to do) apart from eating and savouring his grandma's cooking=p They have a famous burger stall in Kluang too where they use eggs which contain double yolks ..i was too full to enjoy the burger we bought but i think it would taste awesome if i wasn't that bloated.Oh, I managed to have late lunch at the original Kluang station before heading back to kl tho=) Trust me, the original one was way better than the ones in kl. At least they have the actual railway station there to add up to the ambience=p I guess i gained a few pounds after the trip .. yikes..!

Crack..! and down came the yolks..

Burger patties..with all sorts of spices and flavourings

The original Kluang station ..
We both each had nasilemak, half boiled eggs, toast buns, breads , coffee & Milo ..and it costs less than 10 bucks! =p
