i watched my first ever korean movie titled- "200 pounds beauty" few days ago . Being fat reallie is an issue..esp among the females.Ppl refer them to all sorts of bad names..sometimes i feel so sorry for 'em.. As harsh as it sounds, this is the real world.. and no doubt we're living according to social expectations=( i hope i'll never get fat.. *i can see some ppl rolling their eyes already!* =p seriously, been eating too much lately...there was once i ate a burger AND then an instant noodle jus for supper alone! geez..i've this habit of eating supper since long time ago and this is BAD:P as much as i enjoy eating, i'm trying to cut down on it lately but anyhow, i still love food *grins* I'm back to my belly dancing again..after almost a yr of not doin it due to my laziness ..this time i'm a lil more determined , trying to do make it a daily habit..since i think i m gonna gain lots of weights soon if i dont start exercising=/ and then i went swimming today! had an agreement with my sis to swim every monday n i hoped she means it.. i feel so healthy all of a sudden=p

overwhelmed with gratitude

For the past few weeks everyone of us were so happy for the previous 'new' couple, there were all smiles on each of our faces whenever all of us talked about the new pair.It came to a point where i wondered if there were as many friends who will be happy for me too..i asked myself stupid questions such as will they neglect me and leave me in my own bubble?will they not be as close as me jus coz i'm no longer single n yada yada..

but no i was wrong.
They were as happy.
Thank You :)

Heart you guys very much..

~[ Love is in the air ]~

Hi. Jia Wei here, no, don't be alarmed, I didnt hack into ym's account.
I am actually asked to guest blog in her blog. Doing it just for the fun of it.
This is gonna be my first ever post. I just realized blogging is not as easy as it looks. Finding the things to blog about is even harder.
I guessed i should just follow the flow and just write whatever i am feeling right now.
Well, guys, i am in love.
For those who are still curious, with who?
with her...

These passed few weeks have been really meaningful for me. So many happy memories for me by spending those time with you. From our first date, flower planting, the first meal you cooked for me, trips, and many other more happy times together. I just wished that i could just capture everything in a bottle and revive everything again.

I am truly blessed to have you. Things could not be any better for me at the moment except for the fact that i wish i could be there now with you. Still stucked in Kluang. ;(
Missing you dearly.

Anyway, thanks for everything and I promise i will be there whenever you need me, and i will be good.

I love you.

Well for those who are still wondering..
Yes, we are an item now. Happy for us? ;)

-JW-

-xoxo-

wake that spirit up

let us plan the next big trip. a fun one.

make this holiday as busy as possible. stop being the couch potato at home.
Let this summer holiday be the most interesting holiday i ever had....
before i start dragging myself into the corporate world..
where i hav to wake up early every mornin during the weekdays and comin home jus in time to get my sleep
and that's when nothing is more delightful than to be able to apply MC's or half days and having the total weekends off

spotlight on gary & ernest

during yum cha at Mac Dz....

blablabla...
G: Did u see the BMW popups ?
PW/me: yea..what happened to the page?
G: yeala.. that page kena hijackTed di la..

He meant "hijacked" .Believe it or not, the word "hijackted" was last heard from Joanne few months back, also at the same place=D So gary's not the only one. Nevertheless we learned a new word today and would certainly use it in the near future..lolss..

Regarding gary's confession in ernest's blog, it's NOT real ! jus another con job by fellows Cw and Ernest :)

***********
+Latest update in UoL+
Another new couple has emerged! Congratulations~ =) Looks like things are turning onto the good side recently..no more break ups..hopefully. So happy for u guys..No idea who're the newbies? read the topic once again=p

n when's my turn? ..waiting for the flowers to bloom maybe :)

not jus another ordinary day..

What do you think and what comes to your mind when i mention :
Birthdays.. Valentines.. Anniversaries..etc etc?
Are those days significant,or at least, somewhat special to u?
For me, i do put great importance to these days.. whether it's my birthday or someone else's, i consider it special and worth celebrating for. It doesn't have to be a big and lavish celebration, maybe jus a mini one will do. Afterall, what's so hard about goin out n have lunch/dinner together for just a day anyway??

I've known and observed many friends and ppl around me.Some find the occasions unnecessary, some don't find it of any importance at all, some think the days are meaningless, some couldn't care less about it, some find the days as typical as the other rest of the days, some don't even bother celebrating 'em and only a few think the days are different than others and worth giving their attention to.Seriously, I've heard of many ppl who couldn't even remember their family members' bday, what more their friends'..

And what about those couples in love and those currently in steady r/ships?How many of you actually remember your anniversary date?the first place u met each other?or your first date with him/her ?Most girls remember these so called minor details whilst most of the guys can't even answer maybe, 2/3 of the questions asked.I realized many couples, esp those already in years of r/ship, no longer spending their quality time with each other and celebrating on occasions eg. their anniversaries and Valentines'.I never blieve a r/ship can last if every single thing they do is nothing but a routine itself. At times something fresh and new should be input into the r/ship in order to keep it lively.Y wanna make a r/ship so boring when u can actually spark things up? I've known of a few long-time couples who didn't even bother givin each other a hug, goin out for dinner or even, say the ultimate 3 words to their loved ones on their birthdays, not to mention on Valentines'.Dead.Lifeless.Boring.When asked "why not",the most common answer u get from them is "Love from the heart not in terms of material things. We shouldn't just put extra love to the special someone on one particular day-but everyday instead. So there's really nothing much to celebrate about" Sounds true but 90% of them are jus saying it as an excuse and in reality, they never do it.

Everybody is different in their own ways. What's wrong with having the least, one "me" day out of the 365 days of the yr's calender..?All of us deserve to have that 'special' day..be it Valentines' birthdays ..etc etc. I believe everyone wants to feel special and loved by many.Show it, remember there's never too much to offer..Put a smile on someone on these days ..u might just make their day=)

...always the thought that counts

it's the people who matters..not the gift itself
sorry joe..i know i still owe u a post of 1000 words long:P wud like to thank you for everything, for being such a nice friend and company, to the unforgettable 'mothers' day' celebration (hehe..)
thanks for the gift and those lovely card toos*hugss* Part of the collection of cards.been keeping them for years, some are recent ones.My priceless treasure-i'll never trade any of those for anything! I appreciate each and every single one of 'em.Love 'em all*

a rather rare baking session

Pikwah & I are supposed to prepare 'dessert' for tomorrow's steamboat dinner, according to the co-planner Ernest, and so we actually baked a cheesecake today with the help of Wf and Jw ! :) thanks Jw for the oven n kitchen btw..hehe.. Hey , cheesecakes aren't that easy to make ok, and due to the lack of experience i actually asked Ernest if i could change the cheesecake to something else easier but he didn't allow me to,so mean=p Hopefully our hard work pays off and it doesn't taste too bad.. *fingers crossed*

Went to have dinner at a Chinese restaurant in USJ after the baking session. The food was not bad but we couldn't reallie enjoy our dinner bcoz of the presence of third parties. So who are the third parties?? Flying Ants! okay, mayb they are not called flying ants,i dunno what they were-jus ants which can fly! There were so many of those ants flying around n on the floor, some even dropped onto our drinks and trying to walk over our dishes, irritating bugs!* Maybe it was the weather, even the workers were surprised to see the number of those annoying silly bugs infesting the place..yuCkss..In the end, we ate, paid and left the place very quickly to pasar malam in ss2, jus to take a after-dinner walk and have some mini dessert before goin home =)

weekends

Feeling very unhealthy living my holidays without exercising..reallie need to get my bod toned up, my latest resolution yet to be achieve.LOls...since Nigel's in Auckland now, it'll be very unlikely for us to have any badminton sessions in the future..boohoo* missing u Mr. Nigel, without u we've no court to play,ahah.. joining gym will be a waste of money since i know i wouldnt be so hardworking to go that often so goin for dance classes will b a better choice. and yes, the girls, sorry, i will try to find for dance studios-soon=p..me and my peanut size memory..

Btw, Harry Potter was boring.Prolly coz i didn't read the book and also the previous episodes. I'm sure the book is way better than the movie. Had dinner with the girls, cept Ly, at Italiannies yesterday along with a 'newcomer' in the group-haha..will be expecting a lot of him in the future anyway:) Went for Jw's friends' farewell at Poppy after dinner..brought along Amy n Lyn-altogether there were bout 21 ppl there for the farewell..huge group! i was a lil surprised to find out that the girls apparently already know some of the guys there,it's a small small world indeed ..jw was the only one down last night, others were-okay, but he managed to sober up a lil after supper..Again, we didnt take any pics=p..wat else to crap here..my son's finally back from his enjoyable trip to Bali, so jealous* told u girls to plan a trip there, it's a guaranteed fun trip lerr=p and i'm supposed to bake cheesecake for our steamboat session on tuesday.. under a lot of pressure.. seriously! coz i hardly bake anything for the past few months ..i'll be so damn disappointed if it doesnt turn out to be good=( so guys, better not put too high hopes on it..

jigsaw puzzle

Life's experiencing a 360° change since early this year
No longer living in the shadow of the past
No longer waking up everyday dialing the same number with my phone
No longer goin to the usual places
No more routines..
No frowns..
No anger

Now everyday is a different day..
Doin different things
With different ppl..
The word "boredom" seldom appear in my daily dictionary anymore..
Instead, the "fun" replaces its slot.
I've found many new friends
..Some, even soul mates..
Along the way i've seen so many things..
And uncover many of the truths within.

If life's a jigsaw puzzle,
I would've completed the first quarter ..
I smile as i go on putting the pieces of puzzle together..
I no longer force a fit. Because if something's meant to be, it will come together naturally
And when one spot stops working, I'll move to another..and be sure i'll get back to it later
Coz getting hung up on the little pieces only leads to frustration.
There r so many things to learn about life from a jigsaw puzzle,
I learned to look at the big picture,
And realised that variety is the spice of life...
It is the different colors and patterns
that will actually make the puzzle interesting..

pearl of the orient

Those of u who wish to view the penang pictures may do so by visiting Choon Weng's Blog

Here's a very noob & simplified version bout the recent updates / significant happenings in Penang:

- it was a road trip. 10 of us( me, pw, wf, ernest, alex, alfred, charles, jw, cw, joe) went in 3 cars- (Alfred's , Jw's, Alex's ) There was some miscommunication regarding the number of days we were gonna stay in penang and bcoz few of them gotta go back earlier than planned ,hence, the others came back in just 2 cars.

-We rented an apartment somewhere in Batu Ferringhi. There were 3 rooms-the girls, obviously, got a room by themselves, and the remaining 2 weren't enough for the rest of the guys so in the end, few of them sacrificed to sleep in the living room instead.

-Reached Penang the first day at about 10.30pm. After allocating the rooms and unpacking our stuff, we decided to go clubbing at ChillOut, a club in Gurney Hotel- said to be one of the most happening club in penang..

-It was alredi almost 1 am when we got into the club. The moment we stepped into the club, we were horrified by the sight of 2 sexily dressed fat women baring their spare tyres, lying down in the middle of the bar singing "God is a Girl" with the microphones! and they were surrounded by a few uncles who were somehow seemed to b enjoying the 'show' -very much.. eww*

-All of us started to worry and stared blankly thinking we were gonna spend the sat night w that horrible singings & awful crowd but thank god, there was actually another room further in which is where the younger crowd is, that played R n B musics. phew*

- the crowd was very diff from that of kl's. In kl, we call them "lalas",hehe. There was a group standing next to our table throwing ice at each other, and ppl pushing into the crowd without even saying "excuse me" to you.Culture shock..and the music they played was by no means-weird. Linkin park songs were played several times that night, just imagine.(???) Later we were told that there was actually another club somewhere called GLOW which was supposingly better than Chillout.. wat the hell?? if only we knew earlier..

-We were all very tipsy that night. Back at the apartment, the guys went high and started singing stupid songs and laughing at their own lame acts=p Had no idea wat made them so hyper since we only opened 2 bottles that night. haha,,

-the next day was fine. We were all so holy ,visiting places which were mostly- Temples!=p KekLokSi being one of them, the snake temple, etc etc.. most of the time we had no idea how to go to the destined place and we ended up getting lost ..so half of our time was alredi wasted there. We were dumb enuff not to get a map from those nearby hotels until dinner time..

-Nothing much u can actually do in penang cept EAT..eat and eat!! Yea, lunch was nice, we had Char kuey teow at the famous sisters' stall at Lorong Selamat, dinner was great at the hawker street in Macallister Road but supper was bad coz being a noob in penang, we couldnt find any other places to eat at such late hour besides mamak. Other than that, we went to the Feringghi tourist street where the guys bought many dvds and music cds since it was so cheap=p

-The guys had a make up session done by the expertise-ME! hahas* if u actually viewed cw's blog u can c some of my work there=p No i wasnt the one who suggested this , ernest did! he wanted his eyes to be eyelined, so i was jus returnin' his favour, lolss* not bad tho, both joe & ernest actually walked around the street shopping for dvds with make up on! passerby must b thinking they were some sorta punk rocker or something, ahhaz

-Nothing much happened during the last day.We slept late-bout 4 to 5 am, but woke up really early the next morning-bout 7am, hoping to find good food to eat before we leave penang but were left in disappointment. jus found out that penang ppl are reallie very slumber. They(in the F&B field) only open their shops at 11am so peeps, now u know "early bird catches the worm" does not apply in penang...pretty pointless for us to wake up so early that day actually..

finally..a glimpse of light

been listening to so many break up news recently and finally, alas, after several months down the road of sad news, we've got a new couple in town!:) Congratulations to "u-know-who" , jus in case u both don't want your names to be mentioned,haha.. am really happy to hear bout both of you tho =)) enjoy your lovey dovey days together ya n stay mushy! *winks*

Btw, u sneaky duos, didn't even bother to inform me esp u- the girl :P n i have to find it out myself, i'm your first ring of frens summore, feel so outdated , hmph!*

Sweetest Sin

Yay! We managed to find this cake shop by the name of 'Just Heavenly Pleasures' owned by a guy named NIgel at Bukit Damansara today=) I was browsing a food blogger's site and found this lovely place..The desserts there were so unique and pretty.. it's worth the trip there=D

.....Sticky butterscotch cupcakes....so irresistible!!

-it's hard not to get a taste of these cakes..*drools*-
-Sinful indulgence...their signature chocolate durian cake-

mystical night

Am jus too lazy to think about anything to blog for the past few days .

I still have no idea why Laundry's so packed during the weekends. Their food sucks big time, not to mention their cocktails..so tasteless without any hints of alcohol. We've ordered a jug of margarita but it tasted like ice blended orange juice. pfft* ..if it wasn't for the sake of the "happening" crowd i wouldnt even be there..

Headed to Mystique after that for a fren's gf's birthday..fyi, Mystique's a bar cum club which plays mostly R&B musics.. there's nothing much to shout about Mystique.. the interior was simple, the music wasn't very impressive-they even played Robbie william's "Better man" at 2 am.. very weird indeed* If im not mistaken there was a minor raid bout 2 am that night but it wasn't a serious one..peejay clubs are so prone to raids..tsk tsk.. Hard trance was played after the raid but a few of us were jus too lazy to get back to the club.. didn't reallie have the mood to club that day anyway, i didn't drink. i practically didnt do much. my cough was bad..wat else can i say, there were also quite a number of lala ah bengs there with their "unique" sense of style..blahs* the only plus point is-open bottles there are cheap..2 bottles of dewars goin for RM424..not very bad afterall...
sorry there aren't any pics for the night=)

burfdays for the "C"s

HAPPY HAPPY 22ND to BOTH of YOU=)

We celebrated Cave's ( left) and Caryne's (right) birthday last friday at a jap restaurant in DU..

Jia wei, Caryne, Ernest & Cave-who was trying to make his eyes look bigger=p

part of the group who attended the dinner..

Just another excuse for such rare gathering :)

illnesses strike

i am SICK again!!!! this is so frustrating.. each time i'm back from a trip, so are the stupid viruses. They will always return to launch yet another attack on this poor weakling again and haunt her for the following days/weeks! GGggRrrrrr..* I've been suspected to have "viral infection"-- a kind of virus attack to ur body which is contagious and it's spreading speedily across the nations..which was clearly evidenced by the long queue in clinics-imagine having to wait 1.5 hours to get attended by a doctor.. sighh.. but don't worry it's not a life-threatening disease-jus the normal illnesses eg flu sorethroats coughs and fevers. So don't stay away from me..i'm harmless:P just letting out some complaints...

Just this year alone, one by one most of my friends had turned themselves away from what we call -r/ships..no longer attached & committed to it..some are proud to declare themselves as S.A.D but to others,it's heart breaking, hurtful and depressing..i guess break ups are never something any of us would wanna face, let alone experience it--it's just not a happy thing to do..

the different perspective about love

i was flipping thru the tv channels yesterday coz i was too damn bored after my homecoming from penang and a small part of a drama captured my attention.. I was watching the part where the lady made her decision to break off her r/ship with her fiance , who happened to be a rich n famous lawyer, all bcoz he was about to lose his everything-from fame to reputation..

Most might think that the lady was jus being too materialistic.Or at least, she's being portrayed as one of the antagonist characters in the show..But no, it wasn't bcoz she didnt love her fiance anymore, neither did she get close to him solely for the sake of wealth..
In the show, she said these words to another lady,
" I was attracted to A(her fiance) in the first place bcoz of his character, his successful high paid career, his high reputation n how he does justice to his clients.. u might think i'm just someone chasing over material things and that i'm being cruel to him, as a matter of fact..i'm not. I love him for who he is-a complete package. And it was this package that he has which i c myself spending the rest of my life with..now if he were to lose everything that i like in him - his career, wealth and fame.. he's not the "him" whom i like anymore-so what's the point......?"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What the lady said impressed me and those words left me into thinking.. She was not wrong, but it wasn't completely true either. No doubt in the real world, everyone has a pinch of materialistic in them- let's face it..noone lives without money..u can't survive solely out of each other's love.Money is important but nevertheless, it is not everything. It's jus the key to our survivals.yes, we are THAT realistic. So how do u classify someone as materialistic in this sense? ..
