A night in KL

Staying at Sheraton Imperial was a bliss.

We managed to get a room at the Executive Club Floor, where the rooms are only for Starwood Priviledged Guests=) Interior of the room is slightly better than Westin's - more of colonial style compare to the modern furnishing in Westin . Room's also bigger and the washroom is beautiful with gold finishings=p Somehow the bed can't be compared to the Heavenly bed @ Westin.. but still, it's a truly memorable stay for us..

weekend nights

I know i havent been updating this blog for so damn long, so sowee to those who actually bother to read my site...If any, that is =p Nothing interesting or sizzling hot happened to a boring girl like me ever since i quit my job. Ask if i'm working yet..No. And i've no regrets quitting the previous. I'm finally hired by CIMB ..ah-huh, proud of myself for goin thru so many stages of the recruiting process. Not much of a failure i suppose but still, it's not my ideal job.I hope IBM will take me in tho so i don't need to bond with CIMB for 2 n a half years. That's a pretty big sacrifice to make there.. *sighs*

Enuff of my usual job seeking updates. I have no idea what to blog. I've got lotsa pictures but very little story to tell=p Weekdays were boring, attended several interviews, medical checkups here n there and normal lunches and dinners. My goin-out "kaki" had flown to Miri couple of days ago for some job assignment. Lyn..Lyn..come back quick!=p As well as Joanne, in Kota Bharu now..also for her job attachment. Geezz..everyone's getting busy doin something productive except for me.

We hanged out at 2 clubs in Peejay on one of the weekends ( my definition of weekend- Fri & Sat ya;) - Scarlet & Bamboo9 . I was abit curious to know the design n interior of Scarlet since they actually asked more than 6000 local ladies to vote for the ideal design of the club before constructing it,or so i heard. When i got there the place wasn't very fantastic, it was pretty plain and apart from the nice Vodka bottles arrangement at the entrance and the Dj area which spins, there was nothing else to shout about . The colour of the place's more of black than the name says. I expected more scarlet reds but no... While the music they played was okay , the place has no dance floor and similar to the rest of the clubs in PJ, it closes at 2am!

*Advice for the ladies - do not wear super low plunging tops if u don't intend to expose anything=p They have a small VIP area located at the upper level-u nit to take a mini staircase to go up there so ladies shouldn't wear mini skirts or u'll be giving free show while ur up there=p
-Scarlet @ Cineleisure-
pink area- where the Vodka bottles were arranged

The next night on the same week we headed to Bamboo9, another new nightspot in PJ located in Tmn tun plaza, if u knoe where it is.. I guess this is one of the few clubs in Pj which require cover charge to enter. The place is quite small- adding the fact that there was a function goin on that night which took half of the area. The bottles there are expensive too..u might as well drive a lil further to kl for a more happening club. Inside, it looks more like a bar than a club. They also have dancers there and lucky thing the ladies don't look too ugly either. Mayb it's the space constraint- the place has no dance floor so the crowd made their own little dance area in front of the DJ =p

I prefer Scarlet more tho- mayb cuz the place's bigger and it's more happening. But clubs in KL are definitely better than PJ's.

helluva job

I started my first ever job as a management trainee in xXx bank ( u knoe well..) few weeks ago while waiting for other prospective replies from other companies. The first day of work turned out to be okay , not great, practically my whole day was spent in the learning centre, doin nothing productive as tho i was back to my kindergarten days. We played with crayons alot - hell a lot ! the amount of crayons i used could sum up to the amount i used in the past 10 yrs!no joke, n i hate crayons, i hav to 'revisit' the sink of the loo each time i finished a drawing session. Super troublesome and dirty. Can't imagine myself doing colourings on mahjong papers when we're actually so called credit mgmt trainees. Shouldn't we be doin something more professional and less time consuming?...i wonder.

I tot that was jus gonna be the first day, ok, it wasn't that tiring and it wasn't too boring either.It was jus too meaningless.I've a fren who worked there as well, same position,diff batch. N he does a lot of drawings with crayons up till today.The first day i was already told that it's a must to stay back till 10-11 pm everyday for the trainee without getting paid for OT.What's worse is u might not even get an increment of salary after confirmation AND u won't get bonus if ur an officer." Wth?? " NO OT-fine, No Increment?-bearable- , NO BOnus- cannot make it..pretty de-motivating. I understand if u dun get any bonus if ur new to the company but even when ur officer u dun get bonus? i hav to be an officer for at least 2 yrs!! i reallie don't understand their system..did i mention their strict grooming rules(ladies must wear nail polish & blazer) and our CMT's obnoxious head? blahs..

So that was it. It was so de-motivating that i applied for MC to do my CIMB presentation, jus 2nd of work=p I didnt actually plan to do my presentation for CIMB but since my first day was THAT sucky..i might as well jus go for it. Power point presentation not easy ok..i spent bout 4 hrs preparing it last min. I thought im gonna fail miserably but luck came to me. I hav final interview with 'em tomoro=) i would be happier if CIMB's other companies which i wana be in..sigh* i wonder how long more to wait for their replies..i dun wanna bond with cimb jus yet.

The thought of quitting my XxX job grew stronger after the first day of working. Then i decided to tolerate for one whole month, get my first salary and say farewell to my colleagues=p Basically my 2nd n 3rd working days were in the hotel, attending talks and sharpening our presentation skills. Talks were as expected- BORING but bearable.If it's not for the free lunches n tea breaks i would've collapsed in the ball room. I was so damn sleepy ,back in the college days where i can doze off anytime during the lecture,this time i couldn't even afford to close my eyes longer than 5 secs=p The 3rd day pissed me off coz we were supposed to off bout 6..n it got delayed to 6.45 when my boyfren was alreadi waiting outside the hotel at that time.Then our head told us to stay back and we were not allowed to leave so early.WTF??! "At least tell earlier la sheesh..not everyone owns a car..dumbass" I had no idea where he put his rationality at - he required all of us to go back to the learning centre, which is in PUDU and the hotel's in BKT bintang! By then my anger was already at the super high level jus like a volcano waiting to erupt..tak beh tahan! I had to ask my boyfren to go home n wait for my call n in the meantime i tumpang my fren's car back to pudu. The dongkoi head then did some briefing with us..n he actually called each n everyone of us to go bk to pudu bcoz he himself forgot to bring an article which was supposed to b our assignment!

Geramm* !! Why the heck must we go bk there bcoz of one person's fault. The amt of time jamming all the way bk to pudu's even longer than the time he took to brief us. The previous assignment that my colleagues did on the 2nd day of work on mahjong papers (i was on MC=p)- he demanded 'em to finish it on fri-with every single white space of the mahjong paper-COLOURED! nonsensical huh?? imagine how big the mahjong paper is and u had to colour every single white detail with crayons with only 2 in a team and deepavali hol was only a day away-which means they only hav a day to finish it PLUS 2 more assignments due the same day. this is STUPID. not to say it's important to have it coloured anyway right..somebody pls help me to find some sense in this..*sighhsss* My poor boyfren had to come back all the way to kl again- jam for another hour plus for jus 5 mins of briefing. grrrrrrr*

Since i couldn't stand the job any longer i finally decided to quit jus after 3 days of working.What's the point of holding on when u've lose interest right.. i dun wan to continue doin all these stupid assignments when i know for sure i'll b quitting and it's jus the matter of time. I handed in my resignation letter the next day and now i'm officially UNEMPLOYED again=p at least i got a one week salary, not too bad huh. Many asked me the reason y i quit when i was being paid that amt of money. May seemed high but if u actually study ur maths, i dun get bonus so it all summed up the same as other jobs-cept that it's more pointless than the rest.Some assumed that i couldnt handle long working hrs and shouldnt look for the starting pay. I wouldnt mind working long hrs if its for a prestigious company but with slightly lower pay.Just not my cup of tea.I may be PICKY but that could be the starting of my future career, so how not to be ?

Grandma 60th

It was my beloved grandma 60th birthday last week and we did a big surprise party for our wonderful lady at a private place in Kepong. The place- 3 storeys high with a karaoke lounge, super sound & lighting system, bar area on both floors with plush sofa seats n elevator was wholly owned by a minister as his chill out place. He's a friend of my aunt and he actually allowed her to open a party there.. not bad tho, tho i was a bit sceptical initially when i was told that the party will be in a nice place somewhere in Kepong=p

:: the place ::
:: huge screen for the karaoke session.. n that's only the 1st floor=p ::
:: situated along the row of shophouses, based on the outlook, u can hardly imagine the interior of this place to be like this .Duh, It's supposed to be private ::
:: This is what the riches spend on when they have nothing else to spend ::

:: My Grandpa & Grandma=) ::
:: She's under the "Top Wonderful Women in the world" in my list ::
:: Her rough journey of life during her younger years earned my respect ::

:: 60 years of human age ::

:: i thought there was just gonna b us and a few of my aunties uncles ::
:: Didn't expect to see so many of my relatives there.. ((approx 60, banyak give face )) ::
:: my grandma refused to accept any gifts and ang-pows.. wasted!! she's jus too nice ::
:: grandpa would have happily accepted all kinds of gifts if he was in her shoes.. I will Too=p ::

:: sis & grandpa ::

:: Jaa & I ::
:: photo grabbed from sis::
:: liquor will nvr go wrong in a party.. even for the elderly ::
