Jia Wei's 22nd Birthday

|| Last Saturday ||
  • Jw's birthday celebration @ Peninsula Suites, D'sara Heights.
  • More than 30 fellow friends attended the party-cum-gathering (Thank you all! :> )
  • Beers & food were provided by Jaa & I for the guests, whilst few others brought liquors
  • Guys were busy cheering and drinking with the birthday boy =p
  • Some were hyperactive, some went tipsy and got the crowd crazy (alcohol's influence..=p)
  • Birthday boy went cuckoo by 1am- started babbling craps & calling everyone by their full names..
  • Birthday boy was finally DOWN at about 2.30 a.m - more than half of the crowd left
  • The remaining few continued their own 'party' while I was busy clearing up the leftover mess =( (it was really really messy!!)
  • I had to drink with Raz, Gun and etc since Jw was too drunk to drink. They were having fun mixing all the liquor (Dimple,Chivas,beer,Bombay..etc) and downing 'em. It tasted AWEFUL..these guys hav no talents i tell you =p
  • I was too tired to 'layan' em further as i was getting a bit tipsy too=p I went to my room and doze off while they were still outside having their own sweet time drinking and chit chatting.. the next thing i know, the sun was up and i could still hear their laughters. They only left the place at 7 plus in the morning.. *salute*
  • Bad bad hangover for the birthday boy the very next day..

culture shock (?)

Gun (or Gan? oopz) celebrated his 22nd birthday at Crown Regency last Friday. As usual ,to them no party is complete without alcohols ! t was a 3 rooms apartment just big enough to cater for more than 20 of us.Met a few of them who used to hang out nearby my place..I was a lil shocked . It turned out that all of us know the same group of friends- just that we each didnt know about it.. How interesting.. It was the usual gathering cept that it didnt take place in the club . No dancing but most of them were busy downing their fav drinks and challenging each other (Ti Pui and Yap) to c who's the best drinker, Lols..Ti Pui emerged as the Winner of the battle and Yap was D.R.U.N.K so he had to overnight at the hotel that night:P

>> just lotion, dudes!:p <<

>> Left : the Winner .. Right: Gone Case <<

Wondering what was our gift to the birthday boy?A stripper! No kiddin..I was stunned to hear bout the idea at first but eventually i found it interesting. Afterall what's wrong with having once in a lifetime exposure right...hehehhe .We blindfolded the birthday boy who had no idea about what was goin on then while waiting anxiously for the stripper to be ready. We were practically sitting in a circle around Gun who was sitting on a dining chair at the center just to get a better view of the show..ehhe The stripper finally came out and strut her 'thing' ..It was a culture shock for me and Sharon but all of us couldnt stop laughing at the birthday boy's expression.=D Half way thru the ladies were told to go into the room as we were not allowed to watch the second half of the show coz Gun was feelin' shy, haha.. The whole stripper thingy lasted bout half an hour. Some of the guys said it was only worth half the money paid coz she wasn't pretty at all and she didn't know how to make the 'show' interesting...Lolzz Anyhow, it was a funny experience for me & most of them :)
>> the guys...while waiting.. <<

>> blindfolding the birthday boy <<
>> Gun : " Ei, no drugs ar! No drugs!" <<

Happy Birthday Gun!!=)

walk-a-thon

I've been busy shopping for my upcoming college ball for the past one week ..didn't know it was such a tough task, pfft* I seem like a tourist in KL hopping from one mall to another for one whole bloody day. Madness and utterly tiring ! Last monday we were in KL hoping to find for a nice decent dress since the golden triangle's the ultimate shopping spots for KL-ians.We walked from Sg Wang, then to Lot10, KL plaza, BB plaza and to Pavillion but yet couldnt even manage to find a single lookable dress! Pavillion seems to be a very nice place to shop tho, if only it's not that far from PJ=( Geramm* It was like walking the whole entire kl but u came back empty handed. Not satisfied, we headed over to Midvalley and The Gardens for dinner and shop again..This time i finally took off my heels and changed to my comfy flats=) My feet were killing me after one whole day of walking on heels! smart enough for me to leave a pair of slippers in the car *grins* Sad to say the trip was not fruitful at all..i should've known since KL has practically all the shops in Midv/Gardens..maybe even more.. God knows how many thousands of miles i'd walked dat day..

Finally i decided to tailor make a dress, i tot i could save my time as well as the hassle of walking again but reality doesn't turn out to be that way..Thanks jw anyway for helping me to search for all the tailors in PJ =) After a few rounds of tailor hopping on tue and finally set for the suitable one , i was all set to get the material needed for the design i wanted. I needed some kind of rubber cloth similar to satin for the dress i wanted to make but the shops in ss2 do not sell that type of material.arghhh* Geram case # 2. In the end i had to make a move to petaling st in KL- a place where i never thought myself would be, not even passing by.. There i was paying a visit to all the textile shops to enquire bout the material but to no avail. I thought tailor making was easy but hell no! Just imagine how many places i've went in these two days.I think i've walked the entire KL, seriously! this is Crazy. Not wanting to go on like this, I decided to change my design and go for a simpler one like this :
The very next day i went back to the same tailor thinking it was easier to get satin rather than the elastic fabric. Apparently this design was way harder to do than the first. Geram case #3 . I seriously thought it was simpler..haha .. I went for another round of tailor hopping and a few of them actually turned down the job cos they couldnt do it. How complicated that can be...sigh* One tailor even told me to rent from the bridal shops nearby..what the hell.. I wasn't willing to change the design cuz i started to like it so much..Thank god we managed to find a tailor somewhere in Kelana who was willing to make it for me. At first she didn't wan to coz of time constraint but after much pleadings and persuasion she finally gave in =) We were SOOOo relieved after settling bout my dress..the past week was by far the worst shopping trips ever in my entire life.. Unbelievably tough. I actually fell sick after running the errands .. This is not cool...

.

simple life

I went for a day's trip to Kluang (for the noobies, it's in Johor:P) last week with Jw , just to get an insight of how his hometown looks like and to visit his parents. The journey to Kluang is approx 3 hours from KL , which is quite the same distance as from here to Penang.. Ppl in Kluang lead a pretty simple life. They work, go for lunch, yumcha, off work , go home and watch tv. That's exactly what they do everyday. Friday nights don't seem to be appealing to them. U don't see any shops opening at the wee hours of late night except for one or two mamak stalls, no discos/pubs/clubs/bars or whatsoever nightlife, no big shopping complex (cuz there are no market there..) , no massive HongKong food outlets eg Kimgary & etc and only 5% of the population in Kluang smokes =p Healthy-nye...

I looked silly in his sunnies ..

..starting off the journey ..

We didnt reallie do anything interesting there ('coz reallie, there weren't much to do) apart from eating and savouring his grandma's cooking=p They have a famous burger stall in Kluang too where they use eggs which contain double yolks ..i was too full to enjoy the burger we bought but i think it would taste awesome if i wasn't that bloated.Oh, I managed to have late lunch at the original Kluang station before heading back to kl tho=) Trust me, the original one was way better than the ones in kl. At least they have the actual railway station there to add up to the ambience=p I guess i gained a few pounds after the trip .. yikes..!

Crack..! and down came the yolks..

Burger patties..with all sorts of spices and flavourings

The original Kluang station ..
We both each had nasilemak, half boiled eggs, toast buns, breads , coffee & Milo ..and it costs less than 10 bucks! =p

Bye-bye September

A month passes so quickly and soon the month of October will greet us..Our trip to Cameron on the national day seemed like it only happened a fortnight ago..how time flies, the year is already approaching the end as well as my slumber holidays! Not only do I feel old cuz i no longer goin to college...but soon enough, in a month or two, i'll be entering the corporate world and that means- no more messing and bumming around anymore =( *Big sigh*

At least my effort of waking up early for interviews did pay off. UOB finally called and good news- I'm employed! haha~ I actually did not intend to go for the interview which was 2 weeks ago but decided to just go for it as a back up plan in case my BAT goes wrong..*touch wood* Nevertheless..UOB is STILL my 2nd choice for now...havent return the offer letter yet cuz i'm still not keen about the job scope and having to be trained in PUDU=p sucky place..gonna have interview with BAT soon this coming thursday.. pray hard for me =p

We sorta celebrated Pw's birthday by having dinner together at Daorae Garden, Hartamas last Sunday. It's a Korean bbq restaurant and their bbq meat is awesome! Worth another visit there =) Hope you like the present we gave u pw~! i wonder if u read my blog still since it's lacking updates lately..hrmmm*

Our collmate, Win Fei a.k.a SWF will be leaving to Scotland to further his studies.. Bon Voyage~ Yet another friend leaving this country, another big sigh .. Guess the guys will be having less "ta kei" or dota sessions without him, haha..Take care Win Fei and all the best to you=)

press rewind

I wish i could turn back to the time when we were still in high school
when all of us were still what i call- a group.
there werent much diversification.
life was just simple .
Back then, there were ups and downs
now, it was just a boring straight line..
Most of them are busy coping with their new phase of life
new jobs, new mates, new lifestyles
slowly things r drifting apart..
all the latest updates about each other hav gone from 'blur' to 'blank'
Nobody bothered if one knows less than the other.
I miss the times when all gathered for one's problem and try to solve it
Miss the staying over after school sessions,
Miss the times when we laughed even at the least funny jokes
Miss all the innocent thinkings and crazy naughty things we did
and the biggest thing i miss-
i miss us.

weak-ends

I missed last wed's mambo jambo night coz i was down with fever-again! just barely a month ago i had the same sickness..pfftt* I haven't been doin alot of updates to this blog recently. Not feeling "happening" at the time being, hence the lack of posts..so u wan more posts, go get me something for me to do=p

Our fellow Ming has finally left to UK to further his studies=) We sent him off at the airport last Sun and being the typical Ming he is , there were no tears nor any signs of missing home=p Anyhow, hope he'll be fine in UK ..without him - there wont be anyone in the group to come out with crazy drinking games , noone to help us get nice tables in Zouk n loft, noone to pour the 'impossible' amount of liquor and still manage to pursuade someone to drink it ,noone to make fun of and yada yada :P We'll definitely feel the difference without him around , hehe

We were at Poppy for Ming's so called farewell last Fri..too bad i had to get home early for my UOB interview the very next morning. Only managed to hav one hour of nap before charging up for the long day. And when i said long day..it reallie was a very LoOOnnnggGGg day. I thought the 'interview' was gonna be from 8-12pm at most but instead it ended at about 5 pm!! 8-5 pm listening to the board of directors' speeches and talks, tea and lunch breaks , assessment..case study..essay..assessment..assessment!! So brain wrecking and i had to fight with the time limit as well as staying awake all the time .. one word- HECTIC>>! at least my time spent didnt come to waste ..i was shortlisted for the final interview=) also the very next morning=/ maybe i should make it my habit to club before an interview...at least i managed to pass my BAT assessment and UOB interview , hahaha* My weekend turned out to be super tiring and i had developed dark circles under my eyes in just one day...lets hope my next interview is not gonna be in the weekends..
