Happy chinese new year everybody! It's already the 9th day of cny and while everybody was busy for the past few days having dinner and 'yee sang' with families and friends, I was busy visiting frens' houses and collecting angpows:p
1st day of cny::
Went to my grandma's place for lunch..nothing much.Moved on to my sis's godmum's house who's also my distant aunt.Sat there and stoned(zzz..) for a while then went home.Played blackjack with my sisters for a mere 15 mins and they stopped playing with me because they lost in every round..yeap..every single round..haha how lucky..
2nd day of cny::
Went to my grandma's place, my dad's side for brunch. Quite a number of relatives were there but i'm not very close to them.Most of them are older and married and they spoke hakka so i couldn't figure out what were they saying..Just nod my head and waited for the time to pass..hehe The usual phrases popped up again- " when gonna get married?" "where's ur bf" "y so thin" "wah so big edi,so pretty " "when gonna graduate?" etc etc.. why ask when u know u'll forget and ask again the next year.. sigh ..
Had a very expensive steamboat dinner in pj with my family..no yee sang
Went to Kenny's place to play blackjack and mahjong.. WIN..yet another victory..hahz :P
3rd - 8th day of cny::
The usual visiting..Had nice chinese dinner with Kenny, Nigel, Euvern , Cheok, Pikwah, Amy, Szelyn, Claire, Liyiing and Yenyih. Yeap , 11 of us!! Joanne and Eddy were in Seremban, didn't join us for a couple of days so yea,they missed all the fun,lolz:) Claire left to aussie on the 23rd..missing her alredi.She and her mahjong skills=p
Something funny happened the other day when we were playing blackjack at liyiing's place. Yenyih was the 'chongker' , 2 cards- an Ace & a "2".He flipped the 3rd card- it was a "9"! Basic knowledge-that's a "21"! We were so disappointed & while we were getting ready our money to pay him double,he flipped another card. This time it was an "Ace'. Question: why did he still want to flip another card when it's already 21?
Turned out that he didn't realise it was a 21 until we told him that and he was only thinking about getting 5 cards all the while. Haha.. so yea..4 cards totalled only "13" points and he has to flipped the final 5th card and guess what?! a Picture! LOL.We were supposed to pay him double but instead he gotta pay us double then...wat a joke.I'm sure we'll bring this up again in the years to come! haha:-)
