I went with jw and 6 other of his friends this time.We stayed at Gurney Hotel for 2 nights but i still think Northam is nicer in terms of the room & the size of the jacuzzi, haha ..As usual, all we did was eat..eat..eat..and EAT! Dropped by Ipoh while waiting for the other car to catch up with us for their local dimsum..They have so many selections of dimsum but we couldnt try all cuz we were saving space for Nasi Kandar in Penang=p
Managed to find the 2nd famous Char kuey teow near Anson Road. I think it tasted better than the one in Lrg Selamat-not to mention, cheaper summore!=p Most of us went for massage in the hotel spa centre after the chill out session by the pool. Pretty relaxing consider this time we didn't rush ourselves to the respective destinations since we're spending 3 days there. Sharon & I were at the females' spa section and we had to strip everything down for the massage..lols,thank god we were provided with bathrobes.Massage was so-so only, even i can do better=p Sharon's turned out to be quite painful but mine was the opposite. The next day some of us suffered body aches due to the massages.
(random pic @ Kek Lok Si..fr left: sharon, munfoo, tim, mingfei..the better pictures are with Sharon)
We went to club at Glo the 2nd night, somewhere along the Upper PEnang Road..they hav several clubs there..the street somewhat resembles Asian heritage row to me. At least, this time the place didn;t look so dead compare to "Chillout" =p Much more happening n the crowd was slightly better tho i was hoping that the bar dancers could b abit better looking,hehe..On our way back from Penang on Sunday we took the ferry to cross the sea instead of the usual bridge.Just in case any of u has never taken a boat/ferry in ur entire life, here's ur golden opportunity-it's free fyi=p Headed to Ipoh again before goin home, had western food at an old restaurant called F.M.S (Federations of Malaysia something something, heheh, i dun recall, sowee) established wayyy before our country's Independence day..The place looked so old-jus like the Coliseum Cafe in KL..we even suspect their cutleries were as old as the place! How did we find out bout all these places? Ivan was our beloved tour guide cum food connoisseur for the trip..heheh He even bought a book at Mph bout famous hawker food in malaysia!:p
(cars parked in the ferry..)
(view from the ferry, the sea, obviously didn't look that nice..)
The guys even hang the thing in the car and they got so fascinated by how 'beautiful' the thing looked in the dark..swt! ("-.-) Funny to c how the grown up boys comparing and arguing whose one is nicer in terms of the colour n etc..In the end, Jw called me to buy one for his car to join the gang. So the next time any of u sees the above sight, it could b one of 'em hahah!(view from the ferry, the sea, obviously didn't look that nice..)
It was already nightfall when we continued our journey home. The guys actually bought what it seems to look like "rubber elastic balls" with light that flickers when u hit it. Goin for RM3 each at the stall near the Nasi Kandar place we ate earlier .U can actually get it anywer even in PJ/KL pasar malam/bazaars/toy stores but they havent seen it before and they thought it was cool, ahha..
