a week passed in a blink of an eye

Decided to spend my coll mates and jw's friends for dinner at Teluk Gong last thursday to celebrate our graduation and results=) Cw was supposed to split the bill with me to spend our friends dinner but being a busy bee, he wasn't free at dinner time so in the end he bought us bottles at Maison after dinner instead.. thank u cw =) this guy's got power im telling ya.. First Class Hons degree in Uol ! Few hundred bucks to spent us is nothing compare to that isn't it, Cw?*grins* Anyhow, Congrats on ur outstanding achievement~!~!!

Now it's seriously time for me to look for a proper job. Went for BAT's assessment test last Sat and oh god, it was by far the toughest multiple choice questions i ever attempted in my life! I doubt i can make it thru the tests..their requirement was pretty high. Super stressful, of all 12 candidates including me, 70% of them are all experienced sials working in Citibank, Cimb blablabla. I wonder y they bother looking for another job when they're alredi working in such good companies.. give some chance for inexperienced grads like us lah-- =p

3 nights of clubbing ain't fun at all. Not cool- super tiring. First we were at Maison for cw's celebration, next day we were at Poppy for Ben's birthday and on sat we went to Loft, partially for the leftover bottle and Ming's farewell. Been attending too many farewells lately..sobs* so few of them left in M'sia..guess we're not gonna hav a big group of party anytime soon after Ming leaves to UK..

it was all good

I stuttered.
I stumbled.
My legs were shaking.
In fact, my body was trembling.
My heart was beating 100 times faster than normal.
My parents' hopes are on me
My future depends so much on this piece of paper
Finally i took a good look at it..
i breathed a sigh of relief
It wasn't a dream
i made it.

=)
thank you god..

country's 50th independence day

Had pretty fun time @ Poppy last saturday with Amy & jw's frens..met 2 of our high school friends, KohBeng and Jinn at the club..what a surprise O.O didn't exactly had any conversation with them but heard that they were busy working out and building body muscles=pp They do look more buffed up compare to the previous time i met them..very healthy interest afterall, hehe.Meanwhile pikwah and her other half were at Passion celebrating one of their fren's birthday. Joined them for a short moment of dance upstairs after the final song at Poppy and for once Amy got alil tipsy that night=p There was a fight goin on outside the club after the closing and we,being the ever curious and eager-to-know ones, stood by the road and -watch, lolsss. Apparently it was between the Chinese and Indians (or Malays?whatever..) over something stupid..geez, anything is possible when alcohol kicks in... alcohol's bad!

+++++

It was our 50th Merdeka day last Fri!! ((Lolss)) as if anybody i know actually bother about this 'meaningful' day..the only one thing we love about 31st aug-the day we have PUBLIC HOLIDAY! yAyy~ =Þ Merdeka Eve's just an excuse for us to come out and party together, hehe we decided to celebrate the eve at Mardigras along with Lyn and Amy. Jw and I were there earlier than the rest bout 10 pm so we managed to get into the club to redeem our table, without much hassle. By 11pm the crowd was moving in and there were many ppl waiting to get in outside the entrance. The guys arrived much later bu they had to queue up to get in eventho we already had the table waiting. Management @ Mardi was stupid enough not to have two diff queues - one for reserved tables and the other by cover charge.. messed up situation and none of us got the party pack even tho we were seated at the vip area..instead ppl who went in by cover charge got it..unfair!! sheesh=p

Then there was a slight electricity breakdown before the midnight but was settled minutes after. Sad to say most of us missed the countdown in the club coz we girls were in the washroom at that time and the guys were still waiting in line=( Balloons were dropped from the ceiling and our ur national anthem as well as "Tanggal 31" song were played after midnight in the club , sounded weird but apparently everyone was happily dancing along with the song=p Mardigras was so stuffy that night, i guessed i prefer to be there during the normal days. Definitely no more celebrations there. Bad Service. Poor Management. They were running out of glasses that night and we had to share cups among at least 30 of us.. wat d hell..how stupid can they get. No priority to the regulars as well..they should at least let the rest of us in without having to queue so we wouldnt miss the countdown. We were there till 3 plus am then headed back to Jw's place to take a shower before leaving to Cameron's Highland at 5 am! Who came out with the idea of leaving at 5am without having to sleep just to avoid the jam???
-
-
-it was ME..HAhhaha ! Total madness..

Nice enough to pose for me .. hehe
Having dinner @ Opus, B'sar before leaving to Mardi

Jazz Fest '07

Didn't expect Jazz Fest to be so popular so we didnt actually reserve any table that day.. In the end i guessed we sorta "stole" one of the reserved table at Chakri palace , not too sure about that since some of us arrived late , hehe=p I'm not at all a jazz fan.. apart from having dinner at certain restaurants where they played jazz which served as good background music, i hardly listen to 'em. Too boring=p So i think that's the reason y i find the event nothing interesting. Sheila Majid was performing in the event too but i didn't find her songs "jazzy" at all.. Plaze Mont kiara was for once, happening that night but there was nothing much to do for me except for wine sipping (my not so favourite) and watching the performances. Still, it was quite an experience... -- Red & White --

-- The view from where we were sitting --
services that night sucked ! took bout half an hour for those slowbumz to open the bottle of wine for us..pFfft*

the past 7 days...

Just a quick recap :
+ last..Friday +
Wasnt feeling too well after what happened to me the day before (=p) so we just chilled around at jw's place for a mini gambling session- rummy, 5 cards, mahjong, etc. Towards the end a few of them started to get bored gambling with the money so they ended up playing the dare game instead. Losers gotta eat the leftover salad and 2 slices of baguette -both grossly covered with generous amount of thousand island sauce, garlic butter, tobasco, pepper & salt..haha, pity Aaron, Jon, Sau and Tip Pui-the last loser who had to lick the leftover sauces..Yuckss!!

+ Saturday+
Had dinner at The Banquet, Bangsar Village 2 with the girls ..mainly for Ct's farewell. Met Paul for the first time, hehe. Ct was here for nearly a month but all of us only managed to see her less than 5 times, what the hell?!:P Gonna miss u, claire! we didn't get to party togetha as planned..wasted* and Where are the pictures???

It was Sharon's 21st birthday so her bf, Mun Foo threw a party for her at his house by the pool-what a mansion he lives in.. There were quite a number of ppl who went for the party, including Amy who came to join us later past midnight=p We had lots of food and by means of party means an excuse for the guys to drink, drink, drink and drink! As i said, no alcohol for me at the time being so i didn;t drink any that night=p Still, the guys managed to finish bout 11 bottles of Black Label, and 2 crates of beer just by playing drinking games !(they actually bought 4 crates after finishing the bottles..) Madness..! One bottle was empty after only the 7th round of the game-imagine how much one has to drink(neat!) when u lost in one round, goshh.. One by one,at the end of the night all the guys were pushing and throwing each other into the pool..floor was wet ,all the guys inevitably got wet all over, even the ChowChow doggie lazing by the pool got wet, poor pup..Ming,who stayed few roads down fr MF had to go home to bring some extra clothes and pants for the rest of 'em, lolsss. Thank goodness i'm the opposite sex or nots i'll be in the pool as well..

+ Sunday +

Watched Liverpool vs Chelsea for the very first time. Not bad, at least i didnt get bored watching it. Chelsea , they don't deserve the goal at all.a BIG NO! :P

+ Monday+
Visited my grandma in Cheras with my elder sis. The first visit since CNY..a rather filial granddaughter i am , haha! Went to watch Evan Almighty with Jaa, Tim, Raz, Ivan, Manda and Ben..the movie sucks ! Bruce Almighty was way nicer tho i didn't fancy that show either.. Went over to Ivan's place to finish the leftover 2 crates of beer from the party..Ivan's got 3 strong fierce buffy Rottweiler and a fat white Labrador at his crib..so yeng! i wanted a rottweiler since young but parents never allow..

+Tuesday+
LAst minute bbq gathering at Ivan's place. Apparently the guys were walking around in Midvalley and the idea of having bbq sparked so they started calling ppl and buying the ingredients n etc. The bbq started pretty late bout 10pm.. i've heard about Ivan's famous lasagne and baked mash potatoes and finally i managed to try it all that night. The lasagne and potatoes were Awesome! He's a very talented chef...haha...It was one of the best bbq i've ever been to, with alot of food and their never ending creative drinking games of course=p They seriously can't stay without alcohols, so they bought in extra 3 crates of beer with a bottle of Black Label. Those who went for the bbq include both of us, Aaron the official A1 driver, Tim , TP, MF, Sharon, MAndy, Ben, Ming, Jason,Yap, Gun,Raz, Yifei, Peng, Sau n gf.. .
Fr left :: Tip Pui, Tim and Yi fei
- feeling proud of their self bbq-ed chicken using huge amount of butter=p -

+ Wednesday +
It was our one-month anniversary~! He surprised me with 2 tics to watch the Fireworks competition in Putrajaya. Had dinner at Sushizhanmai before heading to PICC..the road to Putrajaya was so damn jam!! i hate those ppl who did their double/triple parkings to c freeshows...sheeshhh, We managed to reach jus in time but didnt manage to enter =( still Trying to ask for ticket exchange since they closed the entrance way before the fireworks started without informing us. How stupid..

+ Thursday +
Lyn has finally quit her job so she has few weeks holidays before starting her new job=) IT was ladies night and we'd got nothing to do so we went to Mardigras with cw, peishan & cousins, joe, peiyin, sabrina and cindy..Met a few of ol' frens there inc Jmin Jian, tomato , heng and etc... Nice to see some familiar faces so u wouldnt be too bored jus sitting by the table doin nothing=p Yet to get the pictures from Peishan..

out of control

I was at Mardigras , 1u last night with jw and a few other friends. The place was not bad, pretty diff from the rest of the clubs in peejay (Mystique...Sanctuary..blahss*)If i'm not mistaken, Mardigras happens to be the sister club of Maison..They even have a 'shower' podium with sexy girls dancing there-totally wet! Guys must be lovin' the sight i tell you..I heard that other ppl can also hop on to the podium if they wish to but i yet to c any=p Saw quite a number of familiar faces there..not surprising since we all live in peejay anyway.. hehe

Opened 3 bottles of BlackLabel for only 7 or 8 of us, knew someone would be drunk last night..and unexpectedly-it was me!Yes, me~ my first time getting drunk.(Hey, everyone has his/her first time ok?=p)Sucky !! I don't even wanna experience this twice for the rest of my life o.O Was totally knocked out last night that i couldnt even remember what happened in and out of the club..The next thing i know it's already morning and needless to say, I gave my boyfren pretty much of a trouble =p Sweet of him for taking care of me the whole night..hehe.. i feel so SHY now..damn! I was lucky not to hav any major hangover but it was bad enough to make me feel sick the whole day today...definitely NO alcohol for the coming weeks, bluekk* feel like puking jus by thinking about it.eww.
.. God knows y did i drink so much last night....

Live to Eat

+++

I promised to spend Joe dinner after his Law paper yesterday. We had our dinner at Chef & Brew, D'sara Heights .Glanced thru the restaurant before when i was buying cakes at Just Heavenly Pleasures and i find the ambience pretty nice for a proper dinner. Surprisingly, it wasn't too expensive either so we ended up ordering too much food and left the place with a 110% full stomach=p

What we ordered:: Grilled salmon head & cheese wontons(not in pic..)
+Cannot finish ! +

My main: Spaghetti with olive oil, garlic ,chillies and calamaris
+ only managed to finish half of it=p +

Joe with his siZzling sirloin steak!
+ So big portion, thank god i didnt order that, hehe +

(the place)
+ Joe ordered beer n they actually served it in a pewter cup to maintain its temperature.Interesting...+

Tada! I was given a surprise from my son when he handed me a bouquet of champagne roses=D
+ THANK YOU SO MUCH, JOE! +
-lurve the colour combination..and it's from FLORISTIKA,my all time fav florist. i feel so touched=~)-

Penang-soon to be my 2nd home

I jus got back from Penang 3 days ago- my 2nd time in one month and the 5th trip there in less than one yr's time, each with diff group of fwens, lolz.. even my Grandma said " Penang again?!" when i told her where i was goin for the weekends.I've been to Penang so often that it's starting to become my 2nd 'hometown' - i even start to know my way around the island, good eh?:P

I went with jw and 6 other of his friends this time.We stayed at Gurney Hotel for 2 nights but i still think Northam is nicer in terms of the room & the size of the jacuzzi, haha ..As usual, all we did was eat..eat..eat..and EAT! Dropped by Ipoh while waiting for the other car to catch up with us for their local dimsum..They have so many selections of dimsum but we couldnt try all cuz we were saving space for Nasi Kandar in Penang=p
(the unpretentious 'Foh San' DimsumRestaurant at Ipoh..super crowded..)

Managed to find the 2nd famous Char kuey teow near Anson Road. I think it tasted better than the one in Lrg Selamat-not to mention, cheaper summore!=p Most of us went for massage in the hotel spa centre after the chill out session by the pool. Pretty relaxing consider this time we didn't rush ourselves to the respective destinations since we're spending 3 days there. Sharon & I were at the females' spa section and we had to strip everything down for the massage..lols,thank god we were provided with bathrobes.Massage was so-so only, even i can do better=p Sharon's turned out to be quite painful but mine was the opposite. The next day some of us suffered body aches due to the massages.
(random pic @ Kek Lok Si..fr left: sharon, munfoo, tim, mingfei..the better pictures are with Sharon)

We went to club at Glo the 2nd night, somewhere along the Upper PEnang Road..they hav several clubs there..the street somewhat resembles Asian heritage row to me. At least, this time the place didn;t look so dead compare to "Chillout" =p Much more happening n the crowd was slightly better tho i was hoping that the bar dancers could b abit better looking,hehe..
On our way back from Penang on Sunday we took the ferry to cross the sea instead of the usual bridge.Just in case any of u has never taken a boat/ferry in ur entire life, here's ur golden opportunity-it's free fyi=p Headed to Ipoh again before goin home, had western food at an old restaurant called F.M.S (Federations of Malaysia something something, heheh, i dun recall, sowee) established wayyy before our country's Independence day..The place looked so old-jus like the Coliseum Cafe in KL..we even suspect their cutleries were as old as the place! How did we find out bout all these places? Ivan was our beloved tour guide cum food connoisseur for the trip..heheh He even bought a book at Mph bout famous hawker food in malaysia!:p
(cars parked in the ferry..)
(view from the ferry, the sea, obviously didn't look that nice..)

It was already nightfall when we continued our journey home. The guys actually bought what it seems to look like "rubber elastic balls" with light that flickers when u hit it. Goin for RM3 each at the stall near the Nasi Kandar place we ate earlier .U can actually get it anywer even in PJ/KL pasar malam/bazaars/toy stores but they havent seen it before and they thought it was cool, ahha..
The guys even hang the thing in the car and they got so fascinated by how 'beautiful' the thing looked in the dark..swt! ("-.-) Funny to c how the grown up boys comparing and arguing whose one is nicer in terms of the colour n etc..In the end, Jw called me to buy one for his car to join the gang. So the next time any of u sees the above sight, it could b one of 'em hahah!
(check it out..the guys' latest possesion)

isolated

Call me a paranoia or at least, prove me wrong. Yes, my intuitions are not always right and I hope for once, this is not what i think is happening to me. What exactly is this 'emptiness' i mentioned earlier..? i feel disturbed by this feeling pretty often and towards the end of the day, i get all 'emo' bcoz of it. I hate being like this..and as clear as i knoe what's the 'emptiness' inside me, i don't think i shall reveal much.i'm not even 80% sure.no doubt whenever i thought bout it, i feel a slight dissatisfaction.i don't think it's even my fault, neither do i deserve to be the one goin thru all these. I mentioned about sacrificing certain things in order to achieve another. I never tot it would come true..

Humans are realistic- i knew it since the day i start to understand the 'real' world.. Friends, are no exceptions.I just never thought a few of 'em could be that realistic. Those i thought would stand by me like they used to, would call me to console and be consoled, those who used to go out with me without much hesitation and so on.... all which i treasured so so much-i don't get any of 'em now.Somehow everything seems to be drifting away from me and i'm utterly depressed=( I talk to these ' friends' as if i'm talking to strangers lately. The special bond we used to have seems to be tearing apart..and as hard as i yearn to solve this puzzle, there's no use in confronting cuz most will be in denial..Some said i've been thinking too much-some told me that i should expect things like this to happen once i've choosen and made my decision. The same ppl told me nothing would change & will still treat me like the way it used to be. I should have known all these were jus white lies.E
ven at times not only those but among my bestest friends, i dun seem to get updates bout their happenings anymore, neither were they even interested in asking bout mine-this is so saddening..It makes me wonder sometimes if i actually make a difference whether or not i'm out with them..i somehow thought i don't.not at all. (T.T) i've lost a number of "fallen angels", the ones who actually had a place in my heart, the ones i consider as important as the rest of the girls, n the ones whom i called- close friends. I missed 'em -very badly indeed and i wish i hav 'em like i used to.Is my wish so hard to fulfill..?There's really a clear difference when ur attached and when ur not..trust me on this. Somehow there's this large pillar built to block u away from the rest. They say u'll see less of those who're non single...but i say they do not even bother seeing these ppl.We don't live in our own bubble for god's sake.I'm no alien. it's hurtful & at the same time, disappointing to know how quickly ppl can change the way they treat u. I've given nothing but my whole heart and sincerity in these ..yet I deserve nothing in the end. Do we really hav to draw the line so clearly..or am i wrong in a way..?

Yes, i'm F*ckIng Emo~

service at priority

Wanted to have dinner with ct at "the apartment" the curve last friday but they don't accept any reservations according to the "new" implemented system, pfftt* in the end we went there earlier hoping to get better tables and seats to cater bout 9 of us but no, they didnt have tables big enough for 9 of us except for one upstairs, right outside and we'll have to sit on stools. The main reason y we actually chose the place was bcoz of the interior, so since we werent able to get any places inside, we decided to change venue to Dragon-i instead.

Plus, services at aprtment were so bad and slow mo', prolly the restaurant's still new, most of the staff there were very unaware of customer's callings, esp those sitting outside! .. i hate it when it comes to bad services..not a good impression i have but will still go there one day coz of its 'unique' concept.Headed to the Loft after dinner with Jaa & friends , supposedly Poppy but it was a fri night so the place was fully reserved. Loft was also pretty packed with ppl,we only managed to get a small table near the dance floor for so many of us O.o I'm not really a house music lover, and worse, i don't even know half the ppl at the table so the night wasn't really a fun one=/ miss clubbing with the girls and the rest of my coll mates *sob sob*

I actually watched Simpsons twice in a week, due to some reasons..haha! and yea, it was not bad, very funny indeed..Don't reallie fancy watching cartoons in cinemas but this is one of the few exceptions..if ur into lamo shows, Simpsons' best suits u=p Recently jus sent my resume to a company, hope i could at least get an interview from there..wish me luck~

under construction

I'm trying to give this blog a new look.
Meanwhile you guys an enjoy playing sudoku here=p

the real lady speaks..

Have y'all heard of Lao Zhar Bor, the Singaporean old lady who blogs? Sounds like a turn off but you'll be amazed by the number of her blog hits per day.. A lady worth looking up to, at least to me=) Very unpretentious, outgoing and lovely ol' woman.. i wouldn't mind having a grandma like that, hehe ..

Visit Lao Zhar Bor's Blog
++ Btw, what does Lao Zhar Bor means? Doesn't sound like her name, does it? ++

I've been so bored lately during the night =( Drove out and went for grocery shopping all by myself just now and amazingly, I find it pretty interesting and time killing, mayb coz i don't do it often. Turning into a housewife wannabe already, gasp!*...it feels good to be able to grab hell lotsa stuff n dump it into the trolley and yet gain some change for my parking fee. The whole trolley which was filled with nothing but food only cost me bout Rm90+ ..it's cheap to me, is it not? Food's the only remedy to my depression and stress. Super useful to boost my level of endorphines . Who says chocolates' the only aphrodisiacs???Altogether i bought 3 bottles of milk
, 2 gigantic pack of cereals , pastas, mushrooms, tortillas , tunas and several others which i've forgotten...just to stock up my kitchen in case i have to prepare my own lunch/dinner on certain days=p Madness...
